About the Authors

Alexander Nestor

Alexander Nestor is a partner in our San Francisco office’s Labor and Employment Group. Alex represents employers in litigation proceedings in state and federal court, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies on a broad range of employment issues, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, defamation, wage and hour, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition claims. He represents employers in individual, multi-party and class action employment litigation.

Alex also regularly counsels and assists employers in resolving a variety of employment issues, including compliance with state and federal employment laws, developing effective employee policies and procedures, anti-harassment training, discipline and terminations, internal and government investigations, leaves of absence, disability accommodation, wage and hour compliance, executive employment agreements, severance agreements, and restrictive covenants.

Alex earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Joyce L. Kennard of the Supreme Court of California. Alex earned his masters degree in international relations from Northeastern University and undergraduate degree from York University.

Allison Shrallow

Allison Shrallow is an associate in the Labor & Employment Practice Group of our San Francisco office. Her practice focuses on defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate and engage in the interactive process, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. She also advises employers on a variety of labor and employment issues including the protection of trade secrets, state and federal leave statutes, and wage and hour laws. She also works with employers in reviewing, preparing, and updating their employee handbooks and personnel policies to ensure compliance with California’s labor and employment laws.

Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Allison was an associate at Freeman, Mathis & Gary where she practiced in labor and employment law.
